USDT amount × current BTC-per-USDT rate = estimated BTC
The rate follows the labelled path described below. It expresses target units per source unit and is recalculated from current positive public observations.
BTC normally displays with 8 decimal places in this tool, while the calculation keeps additional precision until display rounding.
This direction starts with USDT and estimates Bitcoin. The input is a privately issued token balance, not dollars held in a bank account.
Enter a Tether amount above. The calculator translates it through the relevant public reference and displays an indicative amount in Bitcoin. You can reverse the direction without leaving the page.
The result describes a stablecoin-quoted market and must not be interpreted as an exact BTC/USD cash quote.
This pair uses an explicitly labelled USDT market. Tether targets the dollar, but Bitcoin.now keeps the stablecoin leg visible because issuer, redemption and market conditions can make BTC/USDT differ from a direct BTC/USD trade.
Tether, or USDT, is a privately issued stablecoin designed to track the U.S. dollar across supported blockchains. It is not a cash dollar or a bank deposit.
USDT is widely used as a quote asset on crypto exchanges, especially for markets that lack a direct fiat pair. For a USDT conversion, record the token network as well as the market pair when an actual transfer is involved. The numerical result cannot confirm contract compatibility, issuer redemption access, reserve quality, address-control risk, or whether USDT was trading exactly at one dollar.
Bitcoin is the native unit of the Bitcoin network. One BTC can be divided into 100,000,000 satoshis, and control depends on the keys required to spend its transaction outputs.
BTC is used to measure bitcoin balances, transaction outputs, fees and market prices. The protocol's issuance schedule is separate from the exchange rate shown by a venue. For a reproducible Bitcoin value, retain the BTC quantity, price pair, venue or index method, timestamp, and quote asset. A wallet balance and an exchange balance also have different custody evidence, even when both are written in BTC.
The page answers a unit question only. It cannot decide whether either asset, venue, custody method or transaction is suitable for a reader.
USDT: USDT adds issuer, reserve, redemption, network and token-contract risks. Its market value can also move away from one dollar.
BTC: BTC has no central price and can move sharply. A conversion says nothing about custody, transaction finality, taxes or whether a purchase suits a reader.
Spread, order-book depth, slippage, funding charges, withdrawal fees and taxes remain outside the calculation.
Examples use the current public reference when it is available.
Estimate a bitcoin amount from USDT using the public BTC/USDT market reference.
Tether, or USDT, is a privately issued stablecoin designed to track the U.S. dollar across supported blockchains. It is not a cash dollar or a bank deposit. Bitcoin is the native unit of the Bitcoin network. One BTC can be divided into 100,000,000 satoshis, and control depends on the keys required to spend its transaction outputs.
The USDT-to-BTC result excludes spread, trading and payment fees, slippage, withdrawal costs, taxes, and any provider minimum. Bitcoin.now cannot place or settle an order.
Each venue has its own USDT/BTC order book, liquidity, spread, timestamp, and fees. The displayed public reference is therefore an estimate, not a guaranteed executable value.
This direction starts with USDT and estimates Bitcoin. The input is a privately issued token balance, not dollars held in a bank account.
USDT exists on several networks. A numerical conversion does not confirm that a deposit or withdrawal network is compatible.
The calculator reverses the labelled market where needed to express how much BTC corresponds to the USDT input.
A near-one-dollar market value does not remove reserve, redemption, contract, or network risk.
