How to convert BTC to JPY
Enter a Bitcoin amount above. The calculator translates it through the relevant public reference and displays an indicative amount in Japanese yen. You can reverse the direction without leaving the page.
Yen values are displayed as a fiat reference. This calculator cannot account for a venue's local charges or liquidity.
The BTC/JPY market path
Bitcoin.now reads a direct public BTC/JPY market. The displayed rate is attached to that fiat order book and its timestamp; it is not calculated by renaming a stablecoin market or by assuming every venue trades at the same price.
About Bitcoin
Bitcoin is the native unit of the Bitcoin network. One BTC can be divided into 100,000,000 satoshis, and control depends on the keys required to spend its transaction outputs.
BTC is used to measure bitcoin balances, transaction outputs, fees and market prices. The protocol's issuance schedule is separate from the exchange rate shown by a venue.
About Japanese yen
The Japanese yen is Japan's fiat currency and is normally displayed without decimal cents. Bitcoin.now uses a direct public BTC/JPY market when available.
JPY conversions make bitcoin quantities readable beside yen-denominated prices, accounts and budgets.
When this conversion is useful
- Expressing a bitcoin amount in japanese yen
- Reviewing a dated balance or transaction record
- Comparing market scale without opening a trading account
The page answers a unit question only. It cannot decide whether either asset, venue, custody method or transaction is suitable for a reader.
Risks the number does not show
BTC: BTC has no central price and can move sharply. A conversion says nothing about custody, transaction finality, taxes or whether a purchase suits a reader.
JPY: A venue can apply its own lot size, spread, fees and account rules, so a rounded yen estimate is not an executable offer.
Spread, order-book depth, slippage, funding charges, withdrawal fees and taxes remain outside the calculation.
