How to convert ETH to USD
Enter a Ether amount above. The calculator translates it through the relevant public reference and displays an indicative amount in U.S. dollars. You can reverse the direction without leaving the page.
The cross calculation is informational. It can differ from a direct ETH/USD venue because the markets have separate liquidity, timing and spreads.
The ETH/USD calculation path
Bitcoin.now prefers a direct ETH/USD observation when one is configured. When the supported calculation uses visible market legs, each leg retains its own quote asset and venue; the site does not hide a USDT dependency inside a result labelled as cash USD.
About Ether
Ether is the native asset of Ethereum, a proof-of-stake smart-contract network. ETH pays network fees and participates in staking and application markets.
An ETH conversion can compare Ethereum's native asset with bitcoin, fiat or another supported market unit.
About U.S. dollars
The U.S. dollar is fiat money issued within the United States monetary system. A BTC/USD market is an order book quoted in actual dollars, subject to the venue's banking and account arrangements.
USD is a common unit for budgets, accounting and comparing market values in the United States and many international markets.
When this conversion is useful
- Expressing a ether amount in u.s. dollars
- Reviewing a dated balance or transaction record
- Comparing market scale without opening a trading account
The page answers a unit question only. It cannot decide whether either asset, venue, custody method or transaction is suitable for a reader.
Risks the number does not show
ETH: ETH and BTC are both volatile. Cross rates also reflect separate consensus, issuance, application and governance risks.
USD: A USD reference does not include an exchange's spread, card or bank fees, withdrawal costs, taxes or jurisdictional access.
Spread, order-book depth, slippage, funding charges, withdrawal fees and taxes remain outside the calculation.
